Licence verifier
Check a photo's credentials.
Paste the link of an image that came from a Photothentic search. You will see the library it came from, who shot it, the licence it travels under, and the fingerprint of the exact file. No account needed.
Accepts an image URL, the photo's page URL, a credential ID, or a SHA-256 hash.
What a credential holds
Who took it
The photographer and the library the file came from, with a link back to the original photo page.
What it may be used for
The licence the image was downloaded under, alongside the usage type recorded when it was matched.
That it is the same file
A SHA-256 fingerprint of the exact bytes we matched, plus the signature status of the credential manifest.
A credential confirms what we recorded when the file left Photothentic. It does not replace the source library's own terms, and it cannot vouch for a file that was edited or re-exported after download. How provenance works.
